It’s a gift and a curse!

The ocarina is a flute like instrument which can be purchased in many different keys.  They have been reintroduced into society with the video game Legend of Zelda. 

There is something haunting about the delicate trill of an ocarina.  The simplicity of the sound brings an honesty that cannot be duplicated by any other instrument played today.  The tone is reminiscent of an ancient people, a curious explorer, and a playful poet on a lazy day.  It’s dumbfounding that such an uncomplicated instrument can bring forth such a variety of sounds and songs and an immense amount of joy to both player and listener. 

The ocarina can transcend the realm of music by becoming a way of life.  The way of the ocarina is uncomplicated yet spirited.   The delicate notes and trouble free structure bring back a time long forgotten but longed for in the hearts of man.  Those who own ocarinas find a type of peace brought on by the innocent music provided by this remarkable instrument.  Play an ocarina and you’ll see what I mean.    However be warned; once you start playing it’s difficult to stop!

While it may not be healthy for gamers to base their entire social life off of in-game chat, most gamers are NOT like that.  Furthermore in game talk allows people to interact in a different way that in normal life.  Where else can you plan campaigns with people all around the world?  When else can you interact with other like minded people who understand the awesomeness that is pwning noobs?  Pardon the vernacular. 

The games themselves are pretty fun.  If people opened their minds they’d learn something new about themselves and others.  It’s a fun pass time that stimulates many parts of your brain!

…and concerning the violence, having a outlet for that tends to help people.  Furthermore violent individuals will be violent no matter playing video/PC games or not.  There has always been murder and other crimes of violence and there will always be. 

Now I’m going to check on my pirate gang, feed my dragon, and train new Shortbow men in my kingdom!

The best way to not be in debt and be like California, which is STILL paying people in I.O.Us, is to live within your means. 

That’s the reason the country is getting in trouble, what with the priority being health care and the environment (both worthy causes) and not getting the economy back on track. 

That’s the reason I have $2.32 in my bank account right now. 

It’s so easy to want the biggest house and the nicest car, but you have to earn it.  Commercials dangling these things in-front of people should be the first thing to go.  It needs to be reestablished in people’s minds that you must earn what you want. 

I think the way that my mommy operates is the right way.  Big things, like houses and cars, need some time and some help to pay for, but stuff like clothes and jewels and china cabinets should not be the sort of thing your pay day loans get spent on. 

I sound like a complete idiot right now, because as a student I pretty much live entirely off of my parents and right now I’m in their house on the lap top that daddy bought for me. 

I just want people to understand that living within your means is the best way to go.  When you buy something that way, it is simply yours.  You don’t have to worry about paying for stuff because the house you have, however modest it may be, will be yours and will be manageable.  If you decide to have, or just have, children, you can make sure you take care of them and not deny them things they need to grow up with.  I don’t mean JUST food and shelter, but I mean that when they ask for a toy or a candy in the store with the big adorable eyes (8-D) you can consent.  Every child deserves a childhood. 

When you have enough money saved you can upgrade your house and your car.  It’s not that bad of a deal, it just takes more time.  The thing that every individual has most of in their lives is time.  Since the minute we’re born to the time of death there is all time.  Time and space!

This thought process came about because I was thinking about my parents.  They are annoying in the fact that they are usually right and that they are successful because they are patient and live within their means.  There is something to learn from their method, even though they once lived amongst the Paleo-Siberians. 

So Congress, rather than pass a health care bill that will put us even further into debt, why not focus on some sun set clauses for some of those out of date money leeches that are floating around?  Reform health care by making pills less expensive and reforming the measures doctors have to take to not get sued (a billion unnecessary tests just to protect their butts from lawsuits is expensive and wastes time). 

Stop bailing out the country and let the people who lived out of their means learn their lesson.  Bail out the victims of the system and why don’t you save a little extra for people who have worked hard and deserve to be helped based upon their merit.  Taxing the rich and giving to the poor is very Robin Hood of you, Congress, but Robin Hood stole from the mean, rude, and greedy rich to give to those who needed a break.  He did not take from those who worked hard just to give to those people who expected Robin to give money to them.  Is there any way to measure that in any bill?  Should there be?

I don’t know.  I just want to avoid this problem by living within my $2.32.

PS: In summary, the secret is to live within your means, and to give me money.  I mean $2.32, COME ON!?!

This is the choice; politics or compassion, and long standing politicians have chosen politics. 

There are many arguments for and against my opinion, but my key board doesn’t want me to break it.

My belief in Tarot is that we should expect it to prove for us hints and show to us pathways that we have not seen or are neglecting.  It can be specific, but not all of the time.  In every card there is a path… the path through the Major Arcana, the path from 1-10 in the Minor Arcana, and these things entwining. 

I view the Major Arcana as many Tarot readers do; as the Fool’s journey.  The Fool is card number 0… I believe that this indicates the beginning of a path, and that all subsequent paths are the Fool’s experiences.  For instance; the Empress is the Fool really encountering his/her mother, and the Emperor his father… the Lovers card is self explanatory .  I’m sure the Internet can be more specific…  When I draw one of these cards it tends to be more ambiguous, but more encompassing in its meaning if that makes any sense. 

The Minor Arcana implies smaller journeys, specific instances/situations, and people you encounter.  Face cards usually mean a specific person/group of people/mindset.  For instance, the Queen of Swords is often times a divorced woman (from my experience) who fits the description of the card (angry lady who thinks too much and has to deal with the future).  The Minor Arcana is split into four sections which have very different meanings; Swords (mind, intelligence, wit), Cups (emotions, feelings, passion), Pentacles/Coins (drive, ambitions, money), Wands (beliefs, morals, ethics). 

An interesting fact; the reason people can read Tarot using normal playing cards is that they divide the normal suit into the Minor Arcana suits: Swords/Spades, Cups/Hearts, Pentacles/Diamonds, Wands/Clubs.

The cards have pretty set meanings… but in the end, it all depends on the question asked.  Spreads, or how the cards are laid out, are pretty good at narrowing down the meaning of the cards, but a good question takes the cake!

Different decks also bring differences to the meanings too… but that’s more then I want to write at this point in time!
